Seventh Annual URI Pink Out Game This Wednesday vs. Xavier:

Feb 15th 2013

KINGSTON, R.I. -– Rhode Island Athletics and The Ryan Center are proud to partner with South County Hospital, BankRI and B101 to bring to fans the seventh annual Pink Out Game, benefitting the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation.

The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20 when the Rams host Xavier at 7 p.m.

URI was the first NCAA Division I school to hold a breast cancer charity even in association with a men's basketball game and since the 2006-07 season, Rhody Athletics has raised more than $50,000 for the local breast cancer charity.

Fans are encouraged to purchase an official Pink Out shirt in support of the cause and to create a Sea of Pink in the stands the night of the game.  A portion of the proceeds from t-shirt sales will go to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation.

Pink Out shirts are being sold throughout the community and around campus for $8 and will be sold at the door the night of the game for $10.

For tickets to the game, log onto ExperienceRhody.com, visit the Ryan Center box office, or call (401) 874-RAMS.
